‘Tis the season

Yesterday I bought Influence! When I first heard about it I brushed it off because I was never interested in the Olsen twins at all. But this book is hardly about them, and the people they conducted interviews with are people I like and find inspiring such as Peter Beard, Bob Colacello, Terry Richardson and Karl Lagerfeld. I kind of think Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are adorable now. Also, the book itself is quite beautiful. The way it’s put on the page, the polaroids, the typography etc. So, I was pleasantly surprised. I am happy I bought it.
I have an inkling of an idea about moving my blog to WordPress.com. I suppose when I first started back in ‘05 I was really concerned about getting traffic and all that, and I don’t care as much now. For the most part I just like to read blogs I like and write about my life and stuff all the rest. I wish I cared more about the amount of comments etc. I get, but I don’t. I have no idea how many people visit my blog because I don’t have a hit counter or anything like that, but I used to. So, I might do that. Sometime. When I can be bothered…!
This will most likely be my last post for the year so… Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Bite me bite me
Posted on 11 December 08
I saw Twilight today. I suppose I should give you my thoughts on the movie but it was a little hard considering every time Robert Pattinson was on screen I started thinking of ways to stalk him, every female in the theatre spontaneously orgasmed and their ovaries exploded. But six things:
- Two words: VAMPIRE BASEBALL. I AM NOT KIDDING. It was so camp and ridiculous.
- Edward Cullens hair is a work of art. It is perfectly styled, omg.
- Was Jaspers only purpose in the movie to stare at things and look pretty?
- I admit to being strangely turned on by Jaspers bat trick. It was weird. But I liked it.
- Every time Bella and Edward got really close like they were about to kiss my friend sitting next to me grabbed my arm really hard. What?
- I was in hysterics at the “This is the skin of a killer!” bit. One of my favourite parts.

Sydney report
Posted on 4 December 08
Tired and happy, I arrive from Sydney!
Highlights
- Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I did it for the adrenaline rush but, well, the extreme safety measures taken made it a little less exciting. I know it sounds strange, but I would have preferred to climb the bridge knowing that I could die. Therein lies the thrill! However, it was wonderful despite this!
- The view from our apartment. Standing on the balcony you could see half of the Opera House.
- Monet and the Impressionists.
- Bonding with friends.
- Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. They are stunning when the weather permits.
- Beaches! Manly, Palm and Bondi.
- Walking… Around. Most of this was done during shopping, and it was nice to see things that I have never seen before. (I’ve been to Sydney twice before, but I was staying in different locations each time and they weren’t for holiday purposes, per se)
- The Sydney locals. 99.9% of them are lovely and always willing to help a girl in need of directions and whatnot. Except for one woman who had a problem with waiting in a queue.
