A ‘things I did’ list as well as other rambly things!

• Finished year twelve with a pleasing result
• Went to Sydney
• Decided between fine art or psychology (Fine art won, to the disdain of many)
• Applied for fine art courses I knew I would not get into (RMIT and VCA). I wanted to make sure though!
• It’s a bit funny that I got rejected for RMIT university when I got an offer from RMIT TAFE. I really wanted to go to RMIT TAFE because it’s a great pathway to RMIT university but the ‘rents would nto allow it. Bah!
• This makes me a bit sad because the artists I was interviewed by really liked me and my ideas. I really liked them and their ideas too (One of my favourite artists attended RMIT TAFE!), but alas.
• I also got accepted for Swinburne TAFE. I will not be going there, but I would also like to.
• When I went for my interview at Monash one of the artists said it was a bad idea in the first place to be an artist because everyone thinks you are pretentious and there is no money in it. Lololol. (This is kind of a running gag between everyone interested in a fine arts career)
• I got a ‘maybe’ from them. I was so flattered that they said I had “brilliant concepts”. They actually said that. I admire them, and they said that to me.
• I think I will end up going to ACU. I’m not sure. But this is cool because the third year of the course I am applying for involves an internship.
• If I had it my way, I would do all the courses I applied for. They all look so awesome!
• I should shut up about school.
• I was thinking about leaving this out, but it’s important: On February 13th our house burned down. This was the reason behind this post. I didn’t want to say anything about at the time because I was so upset about it all- I lost everything in my room, including photographs, art supplies and various drawings and whatnot. It felt shitty.
• We are back on our feet now, but for a while we all were afraid we wouldn’t be. (PS: Charities are awesome)
• I never thought I would need/get help from a charity.
• This is going to sound so silly, but in some ways I do think losing most of my possessions was a little character building.
• I did a cute drawing of a lemon today.
• My list is done!

   Ouch, losing your house/possessions is a tough way to build character :(
