My top albums of 2007. You knew it had to come, the music addict I am. Let’s find a way to liquefy it so I can just hook it up to my veins and mmmmmmm. Instead of listing the albums recorded this year that made me squee, I am instead going to type the albums that I squeed over this year, that were not necessarily recorded this year. In no particular order:
- Various Artists- Lost In Translation OST
- Patrick Wolf- Lycanthropy
- Death Cab For Cutie- Plans
- Sufjan Stevens- Come On Feel The Illinoise!
- The Velvet Underground- White Light/White Heat
- John Mayer- The Village Sessions
- Frédéric Chopin- The Best Of Chopin
- Performed by The Kronos Quartet, composed by Clint Mansell- Requiem For A Dream OST
- Bloc Party- A Weekend In The City
- Sigur Rós- Takk…

I forgot to upload another photo I really liked from my photography work this year, so here it is. It’s my favourite portrait. He was really great for these photos! He did exactly what I asked, bwaha! I took about a billion in many different poses etc., but this one photo would have to be my most favourite out of the whole reel. He has really really lovely eyes, so I thought this style would suit him nicely. Anyway!

You can view the rest of my photos that I decided to upload in this post.

Nothing much to say, except happy birthday to my darling of a mother, aka The Coolest Lady Of The Planet! Woo. I won’t tell you how young (Read: Old) she’s turning, because she would probably disembowel me for revealing he age on the world wide intarwebz.
Today is also the last day of my two week school holidays :(. But, I did manage to do all the stuff outlined in that list I made a few entries ago. I want to write more, but I don’t have much time since rels are coming over and we’re having a Mum-birthday party! Yay. It always means lots of Indian sweets and yummy curries. Heh.
I’m tired.
Also: I’ve rediscovered someone fantastic deep in the bowels of my music folders! Róisín Murphy. I know you’re probably Really Really Tired of me plugging all these different musicians, but for anyone who likes electronica/danceable music, you should check her out. What I love about it is that she doesn’t use headache inducing beats; it makes me think of spring. Has a very light, lovely sound. One of my favourites is Night Of The Dancing Flame. It was on So You Think You Can Dance? all that time ago. I actually loved that show, unlike most reality TV which I usually hate hate hate.
Aaaand, I’m also in love with this song (Patrick Wolf! Eee!): This Weather. I posted it before, but I doubt anyone downloaded it. If you do download any of those two, I’d really like to know what you think. :)
One of the many things I loved about seeing John Mayer in concert is that now, everytime I listen to a song that he played then, I vividly remember him playing that song at the concert. Like, for example, I have a studio version of Bigger Than My Body and he played that at the concert. So when I listen to it, I more often than not hear the brilliantly crunchy, hungry guitar instead of the toned down one (Compared to him playing it live) in the studio version. Oh, he is so amazing live. So. Much. Love! ♥ Bigger Than My Body is one of my favourite ‘pre-Continuum’ songs. And he played it! He also played 3 x 5 which is, for diehard fans, a Really Big Deal. Just… Mmm! Eee! He played It! *Floordead* I think I died when he started playing it. And then I went to heaven when he got to the chorus. Today I finally overcame/Trying to fit the world inside a picture frame.
I better stop my fangirly ramblings before I make someone nauseous, so.
Okaaaay, zat ees all. Au revoir!

Edit: Woo! I’ve finally overcome the Irritating Dot problem. I worked around it, using the fantastic god-sent plugin Ultimate Tag Warrior! Boo-yeah. It rocks. Although it looks a little bit odd now, because I don’t have that many blog entries. But, as time goes on, my tag cloud shall become prettier! Muhaha.
As you can see, I finally made a theme :D! Well… Not really made, since I wouldn’t consider it finished yet. There are a few things that need fixing. The header image featuring photographs by Jeurgen Teller, my favourite fashion photographer who rocks so hard it isn’t even funny? Cool. The little grey wings made entirely by me? Cool also. That irritating dot underneath the navigation links?… Not so cool. Maybe if I just ignore it…
I kid, I kid.
