This is fine. Yay for gay rights!

However, a strange thing that happens to me as a direct correlation of this is the idea that because I’m so enthusiastic about gay rights, I must be gay myself. Right?!?!?!

That’s not true. I’m not gay! It doesn’t bother me that people sometimes think I am, but really: If we all assumed things this quickly, can you imagine how ridiculous things would be?

Can you tell me in no more and no less than thirteen words why you are nothing short of fabulous? Or, as Mims so aptly put it, why you’re hot? I don’t mean this in a purely aesthetic sense! Here’s mine:

Apart from being devastatingly stylish, I also specialise is being witty and quirky.

The main purpose of having a blog is to, basically, keep a journal online… Right? Then couldn’t they do  the same thing with a pen and paper (I write in my own journal from time to time)? Why did the people who say that their blogs are for themselves even go to the trouble in the first place of making a site, spending money to buy a domain name etc. and spending time making a layout? Other people can see websites. You’re pushing for reader involvement yet again if you use some sort of CMS as well.

And, also, why do the above people also have an ‘About me’ page? Surely these blogs that are for themselves don’t need any information on them for other people? I just don’t get it!

Websites are a way to show things to the world very easily. Saying something is for you only, and putting it out for the whole world to see is pretty dumb, no?

I use StumbleUpon, and I love it. It finds websites, images, videos etc. based on your interests.

Anyway! I used it today, and it stumbled upon this image. Nothing else.

…Because apparently I’m interested in ornaments portraying gnomes sitting on a pigs back, weird purple flowers and old people.

Good news! I’m pretty sure I kicked ass on the psychology exam. Now all I have to do is ace the GAT, and then I’m done for this unit!

This happens, without fail, every time we have a guest over: Mum gives us performance reviews.

Today someone came over and about five minutes after she left Mum turned to me, ready to give me my Performance Review.

“Melinda,” She began “I liked how you were chatty and sociable this time, but I wish you wouldn’t make M laugh because of jokes you made about me. She’ll start every conversation with ‘Hey, do you remember that dig your daughter made about you and your…?’. Well, it was better than the last time. You didn’t even talk then,”

“… Thanks Mum”

And then she wandered off, most likely to give my brother or Dad his performance review, or to evaluate her own performance. I bet she has review check lists she fills out after every guest has left. That makes a funny mental image.

It’s one of her cute quirks! While being slightly irritating at times, it makes me laugh and wonder how she got into the habit. I think I may subconsciously take her advice an ‘improve’ a little each time someone comes over.

Yeah so it looks like someone has taken some of my pictures from here and passed them off as their own…? It’s a strange feeling. I didn’t expect anything like that to happen because, well, I assumed no one would see it as ‘fit’ for taking.

I have my mid years coming up. Eep! Luckily, I just have two: Psychology and the GAT.

I had such an interesting thought but now I’ve lost it. Bah. This is post is completely all over the place.

I had a really scary dream in which I sat all of my VCE exams a month early and had a nervous breakdown in the examination room because I had all of my exams in a row and couldn’t remember anything. It was, well, a nightmare.

And then I ended up failing all of them. And that was the end. My only consolation is, uh… That definitely won’t happen in real life! Nope nope nope…
